Family Solutions’ School-Based Counseling Program provides on-site counseling, case management, and skills training services to at-risk students attending public schools in Jackson County. Family Solutions counselors and skills trainers work as part of the educational team in participating schools. We strive to meet the special needs of children and youths in our care in the least-restrictive setting possible.

Our overall philosophy is based on the value of preserving individual and family integrity by helping children and families build on their innate strengths. We empower participants by guiding them through the process of identifying and implementing solutions to their problems.

The goal of the School-Based Counseling Program is to help children and youths learn how to cope successfully in school, at home, and in the community. We work with youths ages 5 to 17 whom the school’s educational team views as needing support with emotional challenges.

We currently have Skills Trainers and Student Success Specialists at Medford School District middle schools and high schools. We have Masters Level Counselors at all of the Medford School District’s middle and high schools and at 1 elementary school in the Phoenix/Talent School District.
