School-Based Counseling
Family Solutions’ School-Based Counseling Program provides on-site counseling and case management to at-risk students attending public schools in Jackson County. Family Solutions counselors work as part of the educational team in participating schools. We strive to meet the special needs of children and youths in our care in the least restrictive setting possible.
Our overall philosophy is based on the value of preserving individual and family integrity by helping children and families build on their innate strengths. We empower participants by guiding them through the process of identifying and implementing solutions to their problems.
The goal of the School-Based Counseling Program is to help children and youths learn how to cope successfully in school, at home, and in the community. We work with youths ages 5 to 17 whom the school’s educational team views as needing support with emotional challenges.
We have Masters Level Counselors at all of the Medford School District’s middle and high schools, Phoenix High School, and three of the elementary schools in Ashland.
