Family Solutions is proud to support Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO), an evidence-based program with over 30 years of proven success worldwide. TFCO offers an effective alternative to institutional care for children and youth experiencing severe emotional and behavioral challenges, aligning perfectly with our commitment to family-centered healing.
What makes TFCO exceptional is its comprehensive, structured approach. Youth are placed in specially trained treatment foster homes - one child per home - for 6-9 months. These dedicated foster parents receive intensive training, 24/7 support, and daily check-ins from a professional team. This creates a consistent, nurturing environment where young people can heal and grow.
The program's success stems from its focus on five key areas: providing a reinforcing environment with mentoring, maintaining clear expectations and consequences, ensuring high-level supervision, limiting exposure to negative peer influences while encouraging positive ones, and supporting educational achievement.
